The Wooden Jacket was created by a fourth-generation Canterbury carpenter. Cam begun his apprenticeship under the guidance of his father, just like his father and his father before him.
For over 40 years he has pride himself on attention to detail, understanding the customer and delivering high quality craftsmanship, no matter the project.

About Us:
We take our name from an old colloquial term for coffins, as our primary product is handcrafted, wooden coffins. The nostalgia in the name evokes memories of a time when products were made by hand, locally, and of a quality to last forever. These values underpin The Wooden Jacket and ensure that every creation is unique and made well by a local family business.
We also value the environment which is why we prioritise sustainable practise and donate a native tree for every coffin sold.

The fence is amazing thank you, i am very very happy. Dad was caught (by the neighbour) inspecting the fence today, crouching and checking it over, so i rung him and I quote "I've never seen a builder do exactly what he was asked before". Soooo very high praise indeed !!!!!
